KeyShot 9 run on Windows 11?

simple question, does KeyShot 9 run on Windows 11?

Yes it does. On my Win11 machine I use several old versions. Even KeyShot 1.9 (the oldest version I’ve found) run smooth. And because of the simple shader very fast!

I am just curiose about why you need keyshot 1.9? You may have license for version 9 and want to use it. But is there any speciphic reason to use 1.9?

I need to buy a new computer. The only important thing for me is that my KeyShot 9 from 2020 runs on Windows 11.

I used to have to pay EUR 400 for an annual update, now it’s EUR 1200 for an annual subscription?

Think you’re correct. For testing purposes I’ve KS9 and up installed but works prefect under Windows 11.

Price is quite high if rendering is not all you do I think but if you’ve one or two render jobs a month you can just let the client pay for the subscription and a lot of designers are happy to have some costs, so you save some on income tax.

Not sure what kind of renders you create and if a newer version would bring you time saving features. Just tested if GPU also worked in KS9 under Win11 but seems to work perfect.

you really made me laugh with your statement about increasing fixed costs to save taxes.

Nevertheless, thank you for taking the time to test KS9 under Win11. I’m also pleased that GPU rendering works without any problems, because I’m not planning to save on the graphics card.
